Minecraft LIVE Unveils Chaos Cubed and New Adventures Ahead

Chaos Cubed Update Announced at TwitchCon Rotterdam

Mojang Studios used the Minecraft LIVE stage at TwitchCon Rotterdam to reveal Chaos Cubed, the next major content update arriving soon. The update expands the world with sulfur themed environments, including sulfur caves, sulfur hot springs, pools, spikes, and new sulfur and cinnabar block sets. At the center of it all is the sulfur cube, a physics driven creature that changes its movement based on what it absorbs. Players can expect elastic, sliding, fast, and slow variations that reshape how they build and experiment.

First Look at the 2026 Fall Update

Minecraft LIVE also offered an early preview of the third content update of 2026, focused on exploration, adventure, and cooperative play. Among the first features shown were the Dappled Forest, a rust toned biome filled with aspen trees and red shrubs, the Abandoned Camp with its aspen wood block set, and new wool slabs and stairs.

A New Threat in Minecraft Dungeons II

The broadcast introduced the Twisted Warden, a new enemy players will encounter in Minecraft Dungeons II. The game launches later this year and is already available for wishlisting.

LEGO Partnership Brings Chicken Mounts

Minecraft LIVE confirmed a new collaboration with the LEGO Group, resulting in a free add on created by Noxcrew titled LEGO Minecraft Chicken Mounts. The add on transforms Overworld chickens into customizable mounts, offering fifteen variants, some with special abilities such as lava walking or flight. Players can equip them with banners, armor, claws, and saddlebags. The content also includes a jousting minigame for competitive play. It is available now on the Minecraft Marketplace.

New Speedrunning Worlds by Tubbo and MCSR Ranked

Speedrunners can now sharpen their skills with two specialized worlds created by Tubbo and MCSR Ranked. The Speedrun Practice World provides tutorials, time trials, and medals for newcomers learning essential techniques. For competitive runners, Speedrun World offers optimized structures, improved resource conditions, and a clean interface that tracks performance for personal record attempts. Both worlds are available on the Minecraft Marketplace.
